SPI Digital Health: As Doccla Goes Global, OTH Deal is a Marriage of Convenience

Last week, virtual ward platform vendor Doccla acquired Danish remote patient monitoring (RPM) platform vendor OpenTeleHealth (OTH), igniting the latter’s ambitions to become Europe’s leading virtual hospital IT supplier. 

Doccla views the acquisition, the value of which has not been disclosed, as a launchpad for its expansion beyond the UK – where it has enjoyed significant success with the NHS over the last three years – into nine (predominantly European) markets.
