SPI Digital Health: €1.1B Italian Digital Health Opportunity: A Tale of Two Tenders

Two new digital health tenders were announced earlier this month in Italy. One, covering EMR and Imaging, is valued at €800M, while the other, which relates to telehealth, is worth €279M.
These tenders follow the issue in June 2021 of a €600M tender combining regional EMR, imaging and telehealth systems. The winners of this tender were revealed in April 2022 and the contracts are still being awarded, with scope for the total value of the awards to exceed €1B.
