SPI Digital Health: MCP Primed to Bring Rural US Practices into VBC’s Warm Embrace

In just over a year’s time, a new reimbursement payment model will be launched aimed at small, independent primary care practices in rural, underserved areas of eight US states.  

The Making Care Primary (MCP) scheme, the details of which were unveiled last month by the CMS, is designed to provide a route for small practices in Colorado, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, and Washington to participate in value-based care (VBC).
