Signify Premium Insight: Nurturing Medical Imaging AI – The Russian Way

Signify Research’s Machine Learning in Medical Imaging report identifies several key barriers slowing the adoption of medical imaging AI tools. Among them is the lack of clinical validation. Without this evidence of the efficacy and efficiency of AI-based applications in clinical practice, providers will be unable to make informed decisions about whether to adopt a solution and which solution to choose. Afterall, before investing in a new AI-based solution, providers will have to be certain that it works effectively and is able to meet their requirements.
There are a number of approaches being taken to accomplish this clinical validation. One of the largest studies of this kind is underway in the greater Moscow area, the Moscow Experiment on the Computer Vision for the Analysis of Medical Images or Mosmed, takes a unique approach to the challenges of clinical validation.
