Signify Premium Insight: Should IT Vendors Fear Visage’s Head of Steam

Last month, Visage Imaging signed a AU$20m deal with Gunderson Health System. The deal is for Visage’s full stack, comprised of the Visage 7 Viewer, Visage 7 Open Archive and Visage 7 Workflow, which will be implemented in the cloud. This will provide the Gunderson network with a unified diagnostic imaging platform. The deal continues Visage’s momentum, marking the fifth IDN contract the imaging IT vendor has secured in the last 12 months.  Such successes highlight the progress the vendor is making, but can this growth be sustained over the long term?

Visage is among the vendors gaining market share in the US at the highest pace. It has achieved this despite the radiology IT market typically being one in which it is hard to grow organically quickly. One of the central reasons for this growth is the vendors’ approach, which not only stands as a differentiator compared to many of the legacy imaging IT vendors it hopes to replace at providers, but also to facilitate the replacement of these legacy vendors.
