In oncology, complex cases often require collaboration between different clinicians, working in disparate departments to identify the most appropriate treatment plan for a patient. Traditionally these tumour boards have relied on spreadsheets, overhead projectors and paperwork. Some vendors have seen this decidedly low-tech approach as an opportunity.

Instead of utilising an amalgam of tools which weren’t specifically designed for such a purpose, some vendors hope that doctors, and the providers for which they work, would rather use a bespoke, standalone solution, purpose-built to streamline such collaboration and allow for better integration into clinical workflows.
