Signify Premium Insight: Visage Maintains its Momentum with $40m Deal

Published: February 4, 2021

In the latest of a spate of high-profile deals, Pro Medicus Healthcare subsidiary Visage Imaging has signed a $40m contract with Intermountain Healthcare. The 7-year agreement will see Visage’s Visage 7 Viewer and Visage 7 Open Archive products implemented across the provider’s 24 hospitals and 200 clinics, deployed on Google’s public cloud architecture.

The deal is Visage’s fifth major contract win in six months, and provides further evidence that the firm, and its bespoke cloud-native solutions, can compete with more established vendors to supply large providers, rather than the academic institutions that it has been more typically linked with in the past.

Vendor Impact

  • Public cloud deployments are starting to gain traction, and this deal signifies large providers’ increasing willingness to adopt them.
  • Incumbent vendors’ market shares are becoming less secure, as challenger vendors penetrate new market segments and offer more competitive portfolios. Incumbents are going to have to demonstrate their value and innovation pipeline to renew contracts.
