Thank you for your interest in our free ‘Ultrasound Equipment 2024 Infographic’.
The top four Vendors in the ultrasound market remain unchanged, with GE HealthCare securing its position as market leader. However, Samsung Healthcare is gaining market share and is closing the revenue gap between itself and Canon Medical.
To maintain their positions in the short term, the major vendors will need to continue to focus on the mid-range/low-end segments. These markets have become increasingly competitive due to cost-effective offerings from Asian vendors. Being price competitive will attract customers in the short term, especially in the more price-sensitive regions. However, the challenger vendors also need a clear long-term strategy. To remain competitive and ensure their longevity within the market, they must build a varied portfolio to make their offering as comprehensive as possible.
Handheld ultrasound uptake is improving but is still yet to hit the mainstream market. To continue the increased adoption of handheld ultrasound, vendors will need to continue their market education activities. They will also need to continue to develop the technological innovation of handheld devices to demonstrate their effectiveness.
