Account Management / Business Development Executive – Signify Research

£30-£40k + Commission (Full-time, although candidates looking for a part-time position will also be considered)

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2+ years technical business to business account management / business development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, economics, engineering or health/science-related field.
  • The role would suit someone who has B2B account management/business development experience with a technology analyst firm or in the healthcare/technology industry.
  • Ability to travel internationally.

The Role

Signify Research is recruiting an Account Management / Business Development Executive to join its expanding team serving the market intelligence requirements of the global healthcare technology market. This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career with a fast-growing analyst firm that sells market data and consultancy services to many of the world’s leading healthcare technology vendors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing Signify Research’s global key accounts as well as supporting new business sales. The Account Management / Business Development Executive will work closely with our team of Market Analysts, and other commercial support staff, to manage and develop the company’s commercial operations. This is a permanent, full-time role and is based at our Cranfield, UK office, although applicants looking for a part-time position will also be considered.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the company in meeting its commercial growth and revenue targets
  • Manage, add to and grow Signify Research’s largest accounts. These are mostly Fortune 500, FTSE 100 or other global healthcare technology vendors. Typically, this will involve developing and maintaining commercial relationships with global marketing managers, product managers, directors of global strategy, CEOs, etc.
  • Manage our sales processes to ensure all inbound commercial opportunities are maximised.
  • Support Market Analysts and other commercial team members with all commercial lead creation activities; support management team in establishing best practice sales processes.
  • Work with Market Analysts and other commercial team members to develop research quotes, proposals and subscription contracts.
  • The role will require some international travel in order to hold face-to-face meetings with key clients and to attend industry trade shows.
  • Market and promote the company’s research products to current and prospective clients.
  • Stay up-to-date and informed about the latest developments in the healthcare technology market.
  • Forge and maintain relationships with companies in the healthcare technology ecosystem, including manufacturers, healthcare providers and investors.

Your Skills & Qualifications:

  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to the role (e.g. through longevity with their previous employers, or through achieving success for their employers over the medium term, not just short term)
  • 2+ years successful account management / business development experience in a B2B setting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a business, economics, engineering or health/science-related field.
  • The role would suit someone who has business development/account management experience with a technology analyst firm or in the healthcare/technology industry.
  • A strong technical aptitude in order to understand complex, specialist products.
  • The ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to communicate and consult with executive-level clients.
  • An interest in healthcare and healthcare technology.
