Signify Premium Insight: Better Together – The Possibilities for Partners

Vendors cannot stand still. In a market that is constantly changing as a result of both internal and external factors, the companies that serve the medical imaging market must not be afraid to innovate and explore new approaches. This applies not only to the products themselves, but also to the routes vendors take to get their products into customers’ hands. Ziehm Imaging recently made such a move, announcing that it had signed a distribution partnership for its Vision RFD mobile C-arm, enabling Carestream Health to sell the device alongside its own medical imaging portfolio. Other vendors have also made similar moves, Canon, for example recently announced an extension of its partnership with RaySearch Laboratories, enabling the oncology specialist to offer Canon Medical’s Aquilion Large Bore CT and Celesteion PET/CT products. These partnerships might become more popular, but will they really offer significant benefits over traditional distribution agreements?
