Published: December 1, 2020

Background

GE Healthcare recently announced that it has signed its largest-ever ultrasound deal in the US, after penning a $11m deal with St. Luke’s University Health Network.

Included in the contract are GE Healthcare’s LOGIQ E10 for general imaging and Vivid E95 and Vscan for echocardiography, which will connect to GE’s automated reporting and post-processing system, Viewpoint 6. GE claims that the implementation of this system will save St. Luke’s $300,000-a-year in radiologist efficiency gains. In addition, the deal also includes a four-year upgrade arrangement, allowing the health network to maintain its fleet with new technological developments as they become available.
