The Role

Our Decision-Maker Research practice is expanding, and this is a great opportunity for a razor-sharp individual with an inquisitive mind to join the team as a Market Research Analyst.

This role is integral to our ‘voice of the customer’ research services and focuses on conducting primary market research with healthcare technology buyers, decision-makers, and end-users in various markets globally.

The successful candidate will provide ongoing support on bespoke, custom research reports and consulting projects at the request of our clients. This includes reviewing and interpreting market trends, gathering data through primary market research interviews/surveys, and applying secondary research methods to compile existing data sourced from a variety of publicly available channels.

This role provides plenty of opportunities to develop skills in collecting/analysing data, writing detailed reports on findings, and delivering presentations.  It also enables individuals to contribute to the team’s business growth through participation in ongoing marketing and sales efforts.

The Market Research Analyst will report to the Decision-Maker Research Team Lead, who will provide on-the-job training, mentoring, and support.  This is a permanent, full-time role, mainly based at our Cranfield, UK office with the potential for hybrid working.

Responsibilities Include:

  • General project administration – assisting Team Lead/Directors with project-related tasks from kick-off through to delivery, including liaising with external research vendors as needed.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of questionnaires and surveys for primary market research.
  • Conduct interviews (i.e., web-based/telephone) globally with healthcare tech vendors, C-suite health executives, and healthcare providers.
  • Design and build market models to estimate market sizes and to forecast market growth for a variety of healthcare tech products/services as needed.
  • Effectively utilise secondary research methods to compile relevant data sourced from a variety of internal (e.g., in-house reports) and external sources (i.e., government statistics, organizational bodies, internet, etc.).
  • Summarise and analyse data; storytelling and making recommendations related to research findings.
  • Prepare visually compelling presentations with graphs/diagrams to illustrate data and written text to explain insights in PowerPoint and/or Word.
  • Deliver high quality presentations of findings to clients and/or executive management in a professional, engaging, and easy-to-understand way.
  • Contribute to marketing efforts that promote the company’s decision-maker and custom research services by writing thoughtful insight pieces and relevant content for newsletters.
  • Stay regularly up-to-date and informed about the latest developments in the global healthcare technology market worldwide as they relate to our research coverage areas.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You:

  • Recent graduate with a BSc/BEng degree in a science-related field (i.e., Informatics, Computer Science, Business & Management, Statistics, IT, Economics, Engineering Sciences, Biochemistry, Pharmacology, etc.) or BA degree in Social Sciences (i.e., Medical Anthropology/Sociology, etc.).
  • A genuine interest in conducting research in healthcare technology, ideally with some related experience in the areas of market research, data collection, data analysis, and/or report writing or relevant data and marketing qualifications.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Meticulous proofreading and quality checking skills in relation to data, presentations, and client deliverables.
  • Effective time management with ability to multi-task on several projects and complete work by tight deadlines.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving with ability to think on your feet.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong IT skills and proficient with Microsoft Office; particularly Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.

This role would ideally suit someone who is a recent graduate or has 1+ years’ experience in a similar market research/analyst role and is looking to further develop their career.  Previous experience with research methods (i.e., data collection, data analysis, market modelling, forecasting, etc.) is preferable.

Relevant experience in the healthcare/life sciences industry or some work experience in commercial/research roles in allied technology markets (IT, cloud technology, telecommunications) would also be a plus.
