SPI Digital Health: What Signify Research Expects in 2024
Published: January 5, 2024
This time last year, as we laid out our top five digital health predictions for 2023, we noted that the sector was – with some exceptions – slowly getting back to its feet after the shockwaves of COVID.
As some semblance of equilibrium and normality resumed, we envisaged a 2023 where value-based care would be rebooted, where big EHR vendors stood to gain from a consolidation of health IT procurement by providers; and where remote patient monitoring (RPM) vendors would have to change tack in a highly fragmented market.
The year also offered industry stakeholders the strategic headspace to respond to emerging threats, opportunities and the various forces shaping digital health. As we go into 2024, these same forces – challenging macro-economics, rampant inflation and a crippling skills shortage – have eased somewhat, but they still provide the backdrop for the five principal trends we identify for digital health in the year ahead.
