Published: February 10, 2020
07th February 2020 – Written by Sanjay M. Parekh PhD – Featured on Imaging Technology News – At the 2019 Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in December, there was a record number of artificial intelligence (AI) vendors exhibiting at the conference. The large number prompting RSNA to create a third exhibit hall for the AI Showcase. The consensus from vendors exhibiting in the AI showcase was mixed. Some vendors reported a reduced footfall, but other vendors reported more productive discussions with potential buyers that visited their boots. Although the dedicated RSNA AI showcase has become a necessity, it may have inadvertently positioned AI as a sideshow, rather than an integral part of the main conference.Share on LinkedIn
