With the number of publicly-listed EHR vendors in US and EMEA steadily decreasing, critiquing financial results relies increasingly on interpretation rather than hard fact. In the last few years Cerner, MEDITECH, Veradigm, NextGen, Altera and athenahealth have all either delisted, been acquired or not reported data owing to financial irregularities, although some still publish quarterly results. There are rumours that US primary care-focused vendor CareCloud will follow suit and go private. 

Despite this, Q1 2024 results provided some food for thought as we dissect what they mean for US and EMEA inpatient and primary care EHR markets. .
