Apple Vision Pro, the tech giant’s highly anticipated virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) offering, was launched in the US in February 2024. The feature-packed device, which includes innovative technology such as eye and hand tracking, has taken the consumer technology market by storm, and it has not escaped the attention of imaging IT companies either. Visage Imaging, Rad AI and Sirona Medical were all quick to announce versions of their software that are compatible with the new device shortly after its release.

VR and AR devices are often discussed as the future of imaging, but will Apple’s new device be the one to make that future a reality?
